Bridgital Nation : Solving Technology’s People Problem

Introduction

This book Bridgital Nation shows how providing practical ideas for the opportunity, and the potential to apply technology to bridge people’s problems is very rewarding. This book will install new confidence in the resurgence of India’s growth in the coming years. The authors of Bridgital Nation, believe technology can help solve India’s economic problems if we regard it as an aid and not a threat.

About this book

This Book provides some solutions for women to balance their lives and careers, and create an upward curve on the economic graph plotted through their resilience and resurgence.

The problem, as the Author points out, is that India does not fit into the standard models of development. In most countries, growth is followed by the creation of more jobs. It doesn’t work that way in India. The growth tends to come from services and few manufacturing jobs are created. What we need, the authors say, is a model that fits our specific needs.

The book gives a digital remedy for the deepest ailments of the country viz liberating latent (women) workforce, healthcare, education, creativity, and others, book offers digital solutions which any person can easily understand.

It shows cases of real-life pilot studies addressing and solving the issue. It provides a case study for increasing medical needs and their solutions, highlights the necessary importance of the care economy, and covers the good internal stories on the healthcare community from Karnataka and Haryana.

The Book has a good amount of research on the unorganized sector particularly on employment (rather unemployment) and throws a brief on the lifestyles of people inside it.

Five Takeaways from “Bridgital Nation”

  1. Bridging the digital divide requires a human-centric approach that empowers people with the skills and mindset needed to use technology effectively.
  2. A bridgital approach combines the strengths of both humans and machines to achieve better outcomes in areas such as education, healthcare, and governance.
  3. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to creating a bridgital ecosystem that can drive social impact.
  4. Bridgital solutions have the potential to transform key sectors and create more inclusive and prosperous societies.
  5. To fully realize the potential of bridgital solutions, we need to shift our mindset towards seeing technology as a tool for social good.

Missing in this book

The author has assumed that the reader is an expert on Digital Technologies as the book doesn’t explain them anywhere we understand what fails in the Education, Healthcare, Judiciary, Agriculture, and Manufacturing sectors but the book should have mentioned how we could have applied it in detail.

Despite having so many insightful stories and concepts about technology, one thing which is missing from this book is what practical steps one should take to help in bridging the gap.

Well, the author discussed that in some chapters but that is not enough to understand.

Who should read this?

The people who want to understand ideas for the opportunity, the potential to apply technology to bridge people’s problems and people who believe technology can help solve India’s economic problems if we regard it as an aid and not a threat are welcome to read this book
